When Dr. Yanez envisioned her dental office, she wanted a place to provide quality dentistry without the negative stigma associated with most dental offices. When choosing a name for the dental office, it needed to represent a part of her. Spanish is Dr. Yanez’s first language, and she wanted to reflect that part of her in the name. The word "Raices Dentistree'' comes from the Spanish translation of "Raices," which is roots. Roots represent her reminder of where she came from and the people that helped her grow her strong roots. Those strong roots give her a strong foundation. In a tooth, strong roots also represent a strong foundation.

She wanted to create a space where you could FEEL the warmth and comfort when you come inside the office.  Whether you see a dentist regularly or not at all, every mouth is welcomed.  No judgment. Another vital element she wanted to bring into the dental office was nature. She finds it peaceful and soothing and wanted to provide that experience to her patients.

At Raices Dentistree, we want our patients to feel educated on their treatment choices because education is the foundation to a healthy mouth and overall health. We see patients of all ages and offer a comprehensive range of general and cosmetic dentistry, including cleanings, crowns, root canals, extractions, whitening, and many more. Most insurances accepted, but no insurance, no problem!

We would love to earn your trust and have you become part of our Raices Dentistree family. Grow your dental roots here!

DR. Hilda Yáñez

Dr. Hilda Yáñez was raised in a small Texas border town named Eagle Pass. She always had a passion for helping others and dreamt of becoming a dentist. She earned her Bachelor of Sciences degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The University Of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She was the first in her family to go to college and earn a Doctorate. This brought many challenges she had to overcome. This is why Dr. Yáñez finds it important to be active in the community, provide oral health to underserved communities, help promote healthcare careers, and provide mentorship.

With being past President of the Greater San Antonio Hispanic Dental Association, current board member of the San Antonio Christian Dental Association, working in public health, and many other community involvements. She strives to make a positive change by encouraging growth and bettering the communities.

Dr. Yáñez is most passionate about being a mother to her children Faith, Destiny, and Nathan. Another fun fact about Dr. Yanez is she enjoys strength and endurance training and often describes it as her therapy.
